A few weeks before Christmas in 1945, ten young men left an airbase in Italy aboard a factory-fresh B-24 Liberator. With dozens of other more experienced bomber crews in the lead, they climbed through the dense cloud base and headed for one of Germany's last remaining oil fields.  This flight should have been a cakewalk for the inexperienced crew of the Tenmenbak.  It was near the end of the war and Germany was quickly running out of aircraft, pilots and ammunition.  This mission, one of the most costly for America, in terms of crews and aircraft, affected the young men of the Tenmenbak in ways they never could have imagined. This documentary follows the surviving crewmembers to the beautiful countryside of Slovakia, where they discover the remains of their bomber and a little known memorial for a comrade who never made it home.  While in Slovakia they realized, there are many people in this world who respect America's wartime sacrifice, as much or more than many Americans do.
